Has anyone heard about this change in regards to obtaining a student visa?  Supposedly changed June 10th.
http://www.piba.gov.il/Subject/VisaAndPosition/Pages/extending_yeshiva_permits.aspx
Only for bochurim, according to the link. For families everything stays the same.

No appointment needed only in this case, or for all student visas?

Update- went down this morning.  For a kid as long as you and your wife have visas you can wait to get a visa for baby. You need parents passports, babies passport, and birth certificate ( if baby born abroad). No picture of baby needed. As for making an appointment, you are able to schedule one in person. I was able to get one for next week..

Guess that was not clear enough. For a kid you can just walk in. For yourself/wife instead of having to email/call and get no response, you can now go to the office and make an appointment in person

If you are going for kid there is no need to wait on the original line when you walk in. Make sure to inform one of the ladies working by booths you are there for kid visa and ask them where to wait..
