To all those getting a student visa who want the option to work, all you need is a letter from the yeshiva stating they don't object to you working part time, and they'll write on your visa permitted to work IME.

Yes , however if the visa that the wife is getting is her own student visa and not wife if a student , she gets the letter aforementioned

I hope someone can help me with this: My daughter was born in Israel, and we renounced her citizenship at the Misrad Hapnim, but I can't find the paper I think they gave us. What can/should I do now, living in U.S., and she is traveling to Israel? She will need to get a student visa there, but she doesn't have that paper, so the seminary doesn't want to deal with it. I was told that I need to go to the Israeli consulate in Manhattan. Anyone have experience with this? PM welcome. Thanks.
Update: I decided to go tomorrow to the consulate in the US with my daughter to take care of this.
A few questions:
Is Philadelphia ok, or do I need specifically NY?
Any recommendations which one is easier/quicker?
What do I need to bring along?
Do both parents need to come?
What time should I go?
How long should I allow?
Any other info would be appreciated as well. PMs welcome.
Thanks!
