IME, i went to the har choma w/o an appointment, in May. Took a number and waited for an hour? or so. They only asked me to see passport, marriage certificate and I think birth certificate.(not 100 % sure abt birth cert.) Didnt bother asking for the pics. They than gave visas to me ,my wife and kid on the spot. I thinki things have changed (when are they not in this country) as far as appointments, plus it can be that every worker is makpid about dif things,,, so its worth covering all bases and bring in all documents. Hope this helps.

Me, my wife and my daughter have visas. I recently had a child and would like to get one for him. Last time I just walked in with just the passports and they gave it to me in two minutes. Is it still like this? And do they do this during Wednesday afternoon hours?

As with anything in israel especially government offices it depends on the mood of the clerks, I was there to do this and clerk decided that “they don’t do this anymore (no appointment)” and wanted to send us home b”h the head clerk passed by and heard us begging so she took us in her office and we were out in 2 min

Very easy to make an appointment, why not just make one?

Ok so basically I tried doing it online and for some reason it didn't work. Someone called me today from the misrad hapnim and gave me an appointment for two weeks. But he did say if I want to I can come between 8-9. I might try tomorrow.

Went to bituach leumi today to add my child. I did not have all the papers I needed but seems that it might have worked better for me this way.
Hopefully, someone here can help me.
I, my wife and one child have bituach leumi for a while already. I was out of the country for about seven months this year. I have a new child that I want to put on. I realized that I probably should have been kicked off of bituach leumi for being out of the country for more than three months ( I don't believe I was kicked off because my insurance cards work, but also my bank statements show I have been getting Kitzvah Yeladim and that they have been taking money).
One of the requirements for adding a child to bituach leumi is the whole family's entry and exits. If I get these entries and exits, it will obviously show that I wasn't here for a while.
Will this cause an issue for the rest of us?
Am I better off waiting to add him until I have been here again for six months?
Any help or pointers would be much appreciated.
( I attached the list of requirements to add a child that I got from the Bituach Leumi office, I dont know how to add it to the wiki)

Student A2 visas are good for a year, correct? Are kollels officially considered yeshiva, and you can keep renewing for 10 years no problem, or do they consider that like you want to live there, and make you get a resident Visa like A1, A5 or aliyah after a few years?

They generally give 3 years at a time now.

You can keep renewing.

Actually I think the new thing is they give until the your passport expires or your wifes passport expires.

Right because they can't give longer than your passport is valid for. If it's valid for three years they will try and give that.

This thread isn't relevant to me (at least not since I moved back to the USA years ago) but there's this organization that every English-speaker should know of. It's called Chaim Vchesed.  Can't really write up on it as I'm on my phone but Google them. They were very helpful with a few relatives of mine that had misrad hapnim issues (as well as medical issues).
