Get a letter from a yeshiva that your a student. Then call & call & call & call till you get through to make an appointment.  Then show up not a second after your appointment time and wait & wait & wait.....  Then walk into every closed door looking for the place where your supposed to be and get scream at for being late.....  Finally you'll maybe walk out with a visa...

At least that's how it was done in my days....  No idea of its still like that.

They now have the second floor (or is it the first floor? you never know with the Israeli way of counting floors) dedicated to visas, and a secretary to make appointments (if you want to walk in) much more efficient.

Anyone have any contact info of people that speed up the Visa process or make it look like  it was had earlier,  for insurance purposes

When will they give problems?

For the first three years that I was in Yeshiva, there was always another reason that I couldn't get a visa. I can't say that this is what happens to everyone, but I just got grilled for a few minutes whenever I left or came in. They asked why I didn't get visas, don't I know that I need one, etc. They were a bit rude but they didn't actually do anything.

I finally got a visa for the first time this year. My experience was that calling them to make an appointment doesn't work. I went into the office and made an appointment. They gave me one two months later. That first appointment I had a whole bunch of issues with a marriage license, and had to make another appointment two months later. That time I went, the lady was a terrible woman who yelled and screamed the whole time, but in the end she gave me the visas right there. The newcomers guide to Israel has a whole list of all the documents you need, I highly suggest looking it up ahead of time.
