I would be interested but I would also like to know about the icloud data service and how that would work for being secure.

Everyone's account is separate and you can't access any person's data, etc. Only thing the manager can do is add/remove people from the group. If it's a child account being added, there can be restrictions, but otherwise everyone account is siloed, so no privacy issues to worry about. Your iCloud syncs to your iCloud account.

Only issue here is people that 2 terabytes are shared, so if someone in the group has a massive iCloud, then that could be problematic. But otherwise, this is probably cheapest way to gain access to apple news, music, TV+, etc for

Thanks, this is what I know so far. Manager can see how much data is being used by others (but not the data itself), so, as long as each person keeps to <333 GB, there shouldn't be a problem.

I would also be interested to be included.  Do you know how it would impact my current $10 a month  icloud plan? is there a way to have both under the same existing user name?

When you say your current iCloud plan, do you mean your current iCloud account? I imagine it would behave as if you upgraded your iCloud/AppleID to Apple One.

Why would you want to keep paying $10/month? Are there any benefits you’re getting from that that wouldn’t be covered/better with Apple One?

Correct, I do mean my current icloud account.  The reason I would want to keep that one going is that I would need more than the 333gb that is available with this account as I have multiple devices backing up to my current 2tb account.

Likely you won’t be able to have both, I think. But let’s hear what the experts have to say.

Went ahead and started one. I have 3 spots left if anyone wants to join. $71.88 a year or you can just add it reoccurring through PayPal to me for $5.99 a month. Gotta check and see if taxes are charged too, so may be couple cents higher.
