Change flight due to Hurricane Sandy?

I'm flying from CLE to JFK Sunday afternoon, and then on to LHR and TLV on Sunday evening.
If I call AA now and ask them to route me through somewhere else, would they allow that, or would they try charging me? I dont want to risk being stuck in NYC for a few days.

i dont think the risk is imminent enough that they will waive anything for you yet

Possibly. But they're not expecting it to hit NY until late Monday/early Tuesday, so I think you'll be in the clear eitherway.

I have a flight out on monday and back on tuesday.
Any weather mavin could tell me how much chances that the flight wold be cancelled?

Sunday night is supposed to be before the worst of it so I would definitely think you have a better chance of getting out

Still supposed to be pretty serious then. I wouldn't hold my breath.

This assuming the storm actually follows their prediction, don't know if I'd be shocked if this all amounted to much ado about nothing
