On the phone with elal. Apparently the best they can do is a full week.

What's the best second option I have if my flight is cancelled
If I book a ticket with United / ba / Aa / flying blue etc in regards to a no show?
With United I will be refunded the miles but not the tax?

Not sure what you are asking but in IRROPS you should be able to cancel with no penalty

i don't think if I book today a flight is would be able to cancel without penalty.
Ex. Aa stated that only tickets bought before October 26 could be cancelled without penalties

enjoying some Scotch in the aa flagship lounge (this is a joke compared to the aa lounge in lhr and obviously can't compare to the concord room) but I guess it's better than sitting with all grumpy passengers by the gate

Makee sure you say dry enough to deal with rebookings if needed.

My flight tomorrow has not been cancelled yet and it seems like tomorrow afternoon all flights should be departing as scheduled

Had a Tue morn Delta flight, switched it to Wed, and now just got the email that the Tue one was cancelled (just 6 hours before takeoff was supposed to be!)... you would think they would see the magnitude of this storm and have cancelled earlier... either way really hoping hoping the flight Wed will be ok as I just got an email that that was delayed 3 hours...

Anyone else flying JFK around then?

Still showing a 1030am takeoff Wed. and got a Delta robocall indicating the same.
