That post refers to Dan's experience getting both, but not at the same time automatically. Also discusses 2BM for different cards. But what about the 2 different SP cards...will it also work?

You will have an extremely hard time convincing recon to approve you for both with a 2BM. You will most likely not succeed.

Is would be easier to apply for one SP now then apply for another SP at a later date and give them a good reason why you need both...having some leverage would help

Not only did I get auto-denied for having an existing SP Visa when applying for the SP WMC, but they even did another hard pull when I called recon (which they only told me about afterward).

Isn't it conceivable that since they are both happening at the same moment, each one doesn't know that the other was approved? Aren't they processed individually at the same time?

I'm sure people have tried it, but the responses so far have been from people who haven't and are just speculating (both ways). Anyone here have any experience with such an attempt?

Not only did I get auto-denied for having an existing SP Visa when applying for the SP WMC, but they even did another hard pull when I called recon (which they only told me about afterward). 

I  thought I read on Dan's -- if have sapphire visa -- switch to master c. and reapply for visa , if necessary offer to cancel m.c. to get visa bonus a 2nd time -- sounds like I got it wrong or things changed in last few months -- my plan was to do this next month on my appo

I also understood that, but that is once you have one and apply for the second. I am wondering about applying for both simultaneously.
