my dads flight from israel was cancelled on elal leaving tonight. so im sure they will all be cancelled... they put him on a flight for next week (points ticket)

Well if LY cancelled then I guess it's serious. I remember as a bochur there was a blizzard once and the ONLY flight that took off from JFK that night was LYs 1am flight

FWIU so far they only canceled arriving flights.
i would imagine so... if they cancel departing flights and there isnt a storm its a waste, and they can always cancel on runway. They need to cancel arriving flights because if there is a storm and its severe they will get stuck making emergency landings and itll cost them more money..
