I need to send out confirmation texts to about 100 volunteers for a food distribution on Sunday. In the past, I used TextMagic.com, but seemingly, there are now regulatory hoops to prove opt-in intent, which takes three business days.
Does anyone have any ideas or workarounds for small-scale mass texting?

Check out Remind. I have only had good experiences with it and I use it for multiple things. It also requires opt-in but it's instant. The broadcast limit for free is around 250 IIRC

Could be they improved since I stopped using them but I found them to be very unreliable.

They do have their glitches. But overall I do find that they are reliable.

Dansdeals text notifications use GroupMe. Pretty reliable
