Yup, Jcp&l has 700,000 customers without power right now so I can't imagine they'll have it back up too quickly.

Bmg: we lost power in the dorm for an hour (around 8-9 I think) now back on was flickering b4it went out now it's pretty solid.  Most steers around us still look dark

You think it gets fixed by itself??
They can't start going up in the bucket trucks till the winds calm down, and only then can they start the repairs to the thousands and thousands of downed wires/poles, blown up transformers,  etc.

Here's hoping it stays on, it's wild out there right now.  Really happy I put my outdoor patio set in the garage earlier today though I'm feeling less great about my Weber that's still out there :P

Don't think they expected this much damage in CLE...

First Energy OH had sent about 200 linemen and 1,000 support staff to help its sister company, Jersey Central Power and Light, said spokesman Mark Durbin, but hundreds of workers remain in Ohio to deal with power failures.

CLE and CAK flights are all cancelled tomorrow morning and those airports rarely ever have weather cancellations.

Schools are all closed here tomorrow as well.

Personally, I think that personal safety would counsel against walking outside now, but I'm not in OH. I just hear things crashing in Brooklyn, and would now want to have a tree come down unexpectedly.
