Do the rates depend on what your advertising?

The advertising rates? Dunno. The rate of my curiosity? Definitely. :)

I'm wondering how much 5TJT charged for that ad, because when I advertised there they charged me an arm and a leg.

Also had a tiny ad on the front page that said Lighthouse Generator Systems - See Page 69.

I'd consider investing in a whole house generator but have no idea what size to get.
Bump. Me too..

What does a typical frum house need these days? AC has to work etc.
 Local electrician said it's "between 6-12 k"
So I'm thinking we can get something for 4k if shopping for the generator myself, and hiring an installer separate.

What amp service do you have, 100?
Only on DDF does 24/6 mean 24/5/half/half

Oh my this is bringing back horrible memories. Utter devastation on top of the fact that we have no power for about 2 weeks.

A time I would never want to repeat. It was awful, just awful.
If it's not free shipping it's not worth it.

Locate and Read the Main Circuit Breaker or Fuse Block

Make sure the floor around the main service panel is dry, then open the metal door on the service panel. Inside the panel, you will see two rows of individual circuit breakers with small toggle levers. These individual circuit breakers are numbered, and they control individual branch circuits running through your home. The amperage of these breakers will be between 15 and 50 amps, usually.

At the top end of the two rows of branch circuit breakers, there will be a central circuit breaker that controls the power to the entire panel. This is the main circuit breaker, and its amperage rating will something like 60, 100, 150, or 200 amps. In rare instances, the main circuit breaker may be mounted at the bottom of the service panel. The main circuit breaker may be bolted in place, or it may be a snap-in breaker similar to those serving branch circuits.

Has anyone done an install on this recently? I just got a quote for a whole house generator. 10 year warranty, all included comes to $15,000. I am on the fence if it is worth spending the money, I live in the 5 towns.

Electrical panel and gas are on opposite sides of the house so they will def need to do some work to move from one side to the other.
