Amazon GC from supermarket

I bought a $500 amazon gift card in the supermarket on Friday. opened up and the claim code was obliterated. went back to the store, they told me to call the Kroger hotline, who opened a case but told me to call amazon, who after half an hour escalated it and told me that I should hear from them in ten days.
Should I wait? deny the charges? any other recourse?

Amazon just emailed me that they added the funds, and indeed they did. Escalation reached out seperately, so a little weird, but I'll take it.

Good to know - I bought 5 $100 amazon from S&S and one was not activated. Went back to the store with the receipt which says not activated and manager was unhelpful- gave me number of Blackhawk which kept sending me in an automated loop. Called main CS of S&S and they gave me different number for Blackhawk. I called and they wanted to help but they needed to talk to manager but manager had to call from store phone - not me the customer. She refused.

Called main S&S number and they said they'd get back to me in 2-3 days. That was last week. I'll call amazon and if they don't help I'll call  cc to dispute charge.
