I'm looking into opening an amex cc, I was wondering if there's a problem for me to open an amex business cc through sovereign even though I have no sort of business what so ever. I wanted the card without the yearly fee (dont remember what they call it). figured the cash back for gas,cell phone.....is more worth it than miles at this point. Do they ask to prove any thing from ur business? Also is there any other amex that offers similar rewards? (i want amex for the rental insurance..., do diff cards offer diff insurance?)

Just put your SSN- you can have an ebay business without a tax ID- it is called a "sole proprietor"
I did that and put annual income as $0-$25,000 (I am glad they include $0 in that range  ) and they approved me for 35K line of credit - but that was 2 years ago....

a sole proprietor uses his ss# and you could be a business consultant

are the insurances the same as on a personal card? or are there any personal cards that have the same fetures?

The buyer protections on business cards are not federally mandated as they are on personal cards.

never had an amex before would a biz be harder to get approved than a personal? (i have 2 other cc but had one for 4 months the other 2 weeks)
