from what i am hearing, the rationing is keeping the lines more reasonable

And people have to keep running back every day or two.

It's one thing to ration if you expect supply to stabilize within a day or two, but to offer people a limited amount of gas so they have to keep coming back is simply stupid. It's pathetic that in 2012 we can have these kinds of shortages lingering for days after the storm.

IMHO people are in a state of panic, and Bloomy claims that only 25% of gas stations are operational, so if you could could have only 50% of vehicles trying to fill up instead of 100% that should make things much better.

how does having odd/even days going to cause people to need to fill up more often?
