ok I need some advice rergarding my itin.
currently I've cut Manaus out due to lack of time

i have a week to play with 7/23 - 30th. I'm thinking to do Iguazu first then head to RIO for Shabbos & flying back home Monday night. the only problem is connecting straight to Iguazu is a royal pita, no matter if its through RIO or EZE due to flight times or switching to alternate airports.

At the moment here's what I'm thinking

EWR-EZE 7/23 arriving next day 9:50am

6 hours to play with in BA

AEP-IGR 6.50pm 7/24 or 6.15am on 7/25

decide where to base myself in Iguazu

then IGU-GIG (no direct igu-sdu) either thursday night 7.40pm or friday morning.

stay in the Marriott, Monday night GIG-JFK

Wadda people think, I need to finalize this thing asap

I'd do 24 hours in BsAs and fly out to Iguazu Wednesday morning. Spend the second half of the day on the Brazilian side and Thursday on the Argentinian side, then fly to Rio Friday morning.

Sunday + Monday in Rio should be perfect.

For the short flights you can use BA for BUE-IGR and EY for IGU-GIG.

6 hours in BUE is very short, would probably try to do 2 days at a minimum there and maybe a 3rd day if you want to drive to Lujan or boat to Uruguay.

Staying at the Sheraton in the park is a good idea, as you get a head start before all the crowds come at opening time.

not booked anything yet,
the problem with IGU after Shabbos is a potential lack of time there, if I need to fly back mon night I'd need to depart IGU/IGR ealy afternoon on Monday which leaves me with a day & change in IGU. I was under the impression that I need more time at iguazu

Latam Availibilty is a disaster, i was thinking of using DL or cash if not worth it

BUE is just because I have to connect there, I might as well get a taste of the place  so I could take a early morning flight on 25th (my wife doesn't love the idea of killing another night) but I don't have 2 days to play with there

IME you need a full day on the Argentinian side and half a day on the Brazilian. If you get there mid day I think it'll make more sense to go to Brazil and come back once the park closes (that's what I did, although I returned from IGR as well).

@Dan In your Brazil TR you mentioned using DL miles for GOL flights

on a Tuesday evening I flew with my wife and 2 kids on an uneventful GOL flight nonstop from Foz do Iguaçu to Rio de Janeiro’s Galeão airport. The flight from Sao Paulo to Iguaçu and Iguaçu to Rio was pricing out at $720, so I happily paid 25K Delta miles for the flights.

I'm asking as X class is sold out so I booked I class for 25k DL, but GOL said Delta havnt confirmed the rezzy. I suspect the issue is with I class books into EC not real J, as Etihad also weren't able to confirm I class
