For your average yeshiva guy that isnt a "professional", I would say (no facts to back this up) its hard to find a job that can support a frum lifestyle.
What is that guy doing in NYC to support his frum lifestyle?

there are lower salaries and less food in most out-of-town cities. However, high quality schools, affordable homes, and larger backyards/parks for children are usually top priority out of town.

Honestly, if not for family, it boggles my mind why someone would choose to live in NYC. Nice to visit, but it's financial and lifestyle insanity.
Some people need such a style where there is always things happening. The jewish community also doesnt sleep in N.Y.
I don't understand thou why you think it's financial and lifestyle insanity, my parents amd grandparents have been living in queens forever, i won't say they're  rich, but they are financially stable, and the lifestyle has no issues.
I'm not who you think I am.

And there are no jobs outside of NYC?
.
Don't you know, everyone outside of NY is poor
Life isn't about checking the boxes. Nobody cares.

I understand that. However, people also need to put food on the table

Big difference between visiting it and living it. You can't head over to Brooklyn to meet people or go out for dinner ect. On a regular basis if thats what you like by just visiting.

And you can't disagree that the market is much larger here.
I'm not who you think I am.

So you're going to sacrifice the lifestyle and financial benefits of living OOT because you want to eat dinner after 9pm?

They do. However, in NYC where job market (for these specific jobs) is so large you can support a frum family with it. Unlike OOT where the market is significantly smaller making the salary ceiling very low

Definitely truth to this. Also many frum owned businesses who will hire non college folks.

That was just an example. I visited OOT places before, I can't stand that life seems to move slower.
It's not a sacrifice to the lifestyle, it's a normal option in  choosing a different lifestyle.

It's a fallacy. You can literally make half as much in CLE and live a better lifestyle than in NYC.

Take a step back, breathe, and relax. It's good for your health.
Life doesn't have to be one big rush to the next thing.

Ha, I think you are in dreamland. I'm dying to move out of town. When I started looking for a job it was a whole different picture. NYC was great as a single guy. Married with a kid, not so much...

Life's short, make the most of it.
Until you realize that you spent 80 years living to get to the next moment rather than taking a step back and enjoying the moment.
I spent a day running around SFO with Rafi and the best moment was us just sitting down at the end of it at Battery Spencer and just taking in the grand view of the GG bridge and serenity of the scene. I almost teared up :)

And yet several new families are moving here every single week and manage to find something to do.
A family making $80K here puts you way ahead of a family making $120K in NYC.

No, they scout it out first and find something. Or they learn in the one of the kollels and go from there.
