I guess he doesn't value his mom enough, I have a membership with the city in Brooklyn, costs approximately $3,000 annually and I park anywhere I want. Although double parking is not my speed. Now with the meter app it's a bit cheaper. Manhattan = TOW!

There is some good services out there that tries to fight your tickets, if they loose they pay it with your CC, so you don't get booted.

We have these in my city - http://www.cityofwhiteplains.com. Essentially these cans enable robotic garbage pickup, so that you essentially need less personnel and can go faster.

Although I am not sure how this might work in places like NYC where it's likely that there are a lot of parked cars blocking the curb.

the biggest joke is that there will be two options-35gl and 45gl. That's about 2-3 kitchen garbage bags. If I lived in NYC with 2x/week pickup, we would need at least 6-8 of those cans on a normal week for my family of 8. Yomtov time would be way more.
