That's not how I remember it -at least with the Lubavitch communities...
Can't comment on those

But how do you put up with all the people leasing luxury cars ;)
My clunker  draws much more attention then theirs. Never saw anyone blink when they passed. By me even before I actually could be seen  people are looking  :)

I tell all my single friends to marry CLE girls.
Unquestionably the best move of my life

And how's that working out, and 1st dates yet? (NY/NJ-Cleveland dates)

Fair enough. But my wife was not excited about CLE. I would have loved Houston but it is way too hot. Not much other choices
That was the only thing that bothered you about Houston? What did you hear about the schools?

Really ought to be simple if I were running the school. Drive an Acura/BMW/Caddy/Infiniti/Lexus/Mercedes, etc=pay full tuition regardless of what you earn.
right for the most part. but what about the guy who says " i got a deal on my g37x for 250 a month" (there actually was such a deal) then it cost about what a camry cost. u could argue that, even so, if u want to drive a luxury car , u gotta pay up. Some may argue though that if u fly biz/first even with points or a deal, if u want to live that luxury life u gotta pay up. And that is why most schools i know of base tuition scholarships of tax returns, which in ny is pointless bec.  everyone has some off the books income
Using your g-d given right of stupidity is an option, not a requirement. Please use sparingly.

At least in CLE they do ask what kind of cars you drive if you apply for a scholarship.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

If you got a good deal on a luxury car I'm sure they'll understand. No? What if your parents give you the Mercedes, but that's it? Can I assume they use common sense?

If your parents can afford to give you a merc it follows that they can also afford to help finance your kids education...

Frankly I have no idea how those decisions work, I just know they ask.
