I'm completely fascinated about how people in the frum communities live. I always wish I could take a peak at everyone's finances and see what's going on.  I wonder how some people do it.
Churning :)

This past Friday when leaving my house in the morning (in Beachwood) I found a bike on the side of my house. After calling everyone that would have left it there I called the non-emergency police phone number. I explained my situation and the lady told me an officer will be there to pick up the bike shortly. Three minutes later a swat car is at my front door.

Can you imagine what their response time is for a shooting?

When I was there on Pesach, a dog was lost. 6 cop cars showed up including some unmarked.

As a Cincinnati resident of 5 years here is my list: (Copying some from dans :-)

Pros:
-Amberley village (the main frum neighborhood) is quite, crime is virtually unheard of, The police are there to serve you, and will even stop by and change the light bulbs by the elderly residents houses.
-As long as you have your Amberley Village resident sticker tickets for speeding are unheard of :-)
-Housing is very cheap.
-Parking is plentiful and traffic is nothing compared to most cities.  There's also cheap train service connecting the jewish community with downtown and the airport.

AFAIK there is no train in Cincinnati besides for Amtrak.

Worse weather and traffic/crime may even be worse if that's possible depending on the area.

But
-AA (Avios!), UA, and WN hubs, means you have lots of opportunities for flight redemptions to get out of town :D
-Cheap tickets to Israel
-Flights from pretty much any contiguous North American city to ORD are under 4 hours.
-AMEX, Chase, and Citi all pull from different bureaus

Milt's and Shallot's :))
Yup, that was also on the first slide from the ORD Seminar in addition to the stuff above :)

They have any 2 Bedrooms available there yet?
I haven't actually spoken to anyone on any board I've only spoken to brokers.

Thanks lol. I meant to ask if the weather is significantly worse because I'm coming from NY where its gross and rainy all winter and hot and humid all summer. I hear it snows more in Chicago but I would rather have it snow then plow it as opposed to getting drenched in the rain no?

Get back to me after you've done it for a winter season.

FWIU, Chicago is MUCH colder than NY, and it snows MUCH more. To me, I think I'd rather a bit more humidity in the summer than getting nailed each and every winter with face-shattering cold.

This is practically required for midwest winters:
http://www.llbean.com/llb/shop/56530?page=noreaster-commuter-coat-with-gore-tex-knee-length&subrnd=0

Sure it's ugly, but as long as you're already married you'll be nice and warm and laughing at the folks freezing their 'okoles in a wool peacoat.

Having grown up in Chicago, and now living in Bklyn, I would disagree. Except for the past couple of years in which NYC has experienced some of it's mildest winters in history, I would say that Chicago is definitely worse but not significantly. (this is not based on any stats just raw memories)

Cleveland isn't on the cold list? It's in the same region as many of the other places you mentioned.
