I just was talking to someone and said, Montreal is def a very solid "out of town" place to live. its def a nice second to monsey.
Montreal is dying. All Canadians move to Toronto

Yes. Although I do have >10 restaurants within a four minute drive of my house
And I have 6.  But what's the point of eating out when they're all just OK?

Bali Laffa is good. Lime taco is very interesting. Kosher chopstix or whatever it's called is solid Chinese.

Dunno. It's a shrinking community. Except maybe the satmar element

With the high cost of living+traffic but without the restaurants.
Cleaner and safer at least.
Thank God I've managed to avoid the traffic with my commute

Things to do with kids are limited. No children's museum. Aquarium is a welcome addition. Although services from community centers are great

Who dares talking about Montreal without asking me? Lol
I'm flying there tomorrow with the family on the Delta glitch to visit my parents.
A lovely place to live in my childhood sans the open anti-semitism met everywhere.
Je Me Souviens.
And at least what we call "downtown" is growing by leaps and bounds. NOBODY is moving away from there. I can't talk for "uptown".
There is a lot to do in Montreal for tourists. Old city is interesting even for a native.

Dunno about that, the Chabad element is doing fine.
