WaHi still smells more than DEN, and it's legal there. ::)

"-Housing is very cheap."
"Same for DEN."

Not. Even. Close.
Wow, okay I'm wrong. I've always gotten that info from what people in Denver say. But I just checked Zillow and while the Jewish area has a few under $300K, most were over $500K. Very surprised. Then I plugged "Beechwood, Ohio" into Zillow and found most houses go for $60K. Is that a freaking joke??

Gmaps shows the residential streets in Beechwood to be incredibly narrow. Are you not allowed to park on the street? (Obviously, everyone has driveways, but it's a very distinct look.)

I don't think they're any narrower than streets in any other suburb that I've been in around the country.
Parking is allowed on one side of the street.
Overnight street parking isn't allowed in any CLE suburb.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

The only time I was there the owner of the house told me to call the sheriff or something to tell them I was there and I was going to park on the street.. Talk about being homey..
I think the reason to this was to prevent crime.

I don't think it's a bad thing, just very interesting. I don't know how specifically you're defining "suburb," but I can show you pictures of streets from several areas of NJ and DEN that have much wider streets.

I've been in more than 1 neighborhood that required that. (Even in NJ!)

What OOT community is comparable in size to CLE?

9. You get more bang for your buck here, especially when it comes to living space. We don't have to pay an entire month's salary for an 8x10 "apartment" with our toilet in our entryway just to be in a cool neighborhood. We can also afford to live alone (read: no creepy Craigslist roommates) if we want to. And in addition to more square footage per dollar, most of LA apartments have plentiful storage, big windows (you know, for all the sun) and—eat your hearts out, New Yorkers—outdoor space.

NY and LA are both sky rocketing high rental and real estate prices in general.

It's 2 different magazines, 2 different staffs. It's by definition a city-specific magazine, they have it for a whole bunch of cities (30+ worldwide).

I'm sorry, but this snow situation in NYC is just ridiculous.

Streets not plowed 2 days later?

Majority of flights still being cancelled 2 days later? This makes my 4th longhaul in a row to have irr-ops :P

CLE might get a lot of snow (normally at least, this year we've yet to get hit) but at least when it comes things get taken care of and life isn't interrupted.
Streets, sidewalks, and driveways all get plowed by others. Cars are parked in these crazy things called attached garages. And our airport doesn't shut down.

Yep yep. Nothing new in regards to NY. They truly act - every single time - as though they are some west coast city that was oh so surprised by the snow and can't get their act together.

This is Benjie live from my home because my train line is still suspended and I couldn't get to work today.

How can the city with the most resources in the world not get their act together??
Now I'm seeing cancellations cascading into tomorrow. WTH?

Nothing available until Thursday, and even that was only because I had a backup. Otherwise it would nothing until next Tuesday.

4 longhaul irr-ops in a row now dating back to last March. Maybe Gd is trying to tell me something?
