most kosher Israeli pizza is sweet

There was a store near the mir that was making pies with a savory suace... but gave in to what actually sells, and changed the sauce to a sweet one.
Yes, you'll never confuse a Pizza uri pie with one fron ave J, or JII here with Perazio, or Pizza Shemesh/Extra Pizza with Cafe Napoli on M (Z"L) but they're all tasty and decent. (OK, except for PS/EP  :) )

Apropos to nothing, I recently tried Pizza Hut's thick pizza (branch by Ramot Mall has a Rubin), and it was delicious. Fwiw the sauce was probably the first genuinely savory sauce I've had in a very long time.

Pizza Hut's delicious.
Blink twice if you're being held against your will.

Is it a problem to like both savory and sweet pizza? Or is it a problem for Pizza Hut to get a Rubin hechsher? Or that the pizza didn't have sesame seeds?

I'm sure you recall that in the states Pizza Hut is Shpitz Treif (like something one would use as a moshol)

Of course. Which is why I A) immediately stated the hechsher and B) posted it in the Pros and Cons of Where You Live thread.
Hey, McDonalds is still off-limits.

It's just bad corporate pizza.
There actually is truly delicious pizza in Israel these days, alas nothing with a Rubin level hechsher.

Okay, now I understand.
I think it has been established to my satisfaction that my tastes in food are quite out of the ordinary around here.  8)

I mean, liking Pizza Hut, Subway, or any corporate chain isn't out of the ordinary or else they wouldn't be so successful. ;)

Tornadoes can happen. This one hit closer to home than any I can recall. We never lost power and most people that lost power got it back already, though there are some exceptions.

A community member sponsored a massive trailer with refrigerated and freezer space for everyone who lost power to use, which typifies this awesome Jewish community.

I love it when Cleveland gets stuff 10 years after NYC and they think they have the most amazing thing ever.

Kinda like their one good restaurant or Dougies in a freezer in the back of a bakery.

Although those were existing large fridges and refrigerated warehouses and trucks already in service by various establishments not rented special.

This was a trailer and generator at a shul with no power.

I guess that is a con of where you live, that you need to rely on that. Over here, as soon as there is a larger-scale issue, the establishments that are equipped for it open up their equipment to the public and competitors.

Pretty big exception is basically the whole UH....
