Thanks. Can you provide a breakdown of the different communities.

Also my understanding is that their is a lot of politics and some discord between the different communities, true?

How come everyone there seems to be related?

How does so much of the community afford to live in huge houses?
Bump

My info on different communities is a bit dated
Basically; down south, more Yeshivaish,
up north (BAYT very modern)
Middle Bnei Torah, Clanton Park, older modern, was dying, by now prob revived to an extent
Chabad everywhere

2 jews 3 shuls, isn't it the norm?

I think that's Cleveland where everyone is related...

no clue, + 1000

I didn't answer your post before since I don't think I can be of any help, I was commenting in the general discussion of Toronto and Montreal...

So, ReBump

Also, something you'd never see in NY-people living in huge houses but in the driveway they have five year old vans or Honda accord

Not really in the chabad area, the houses are really small around chabad gate.

See that's the thing about Leafs fans...we're known to be very loyal. I guess it's in the water (got to add that to the pro list).

"The fans of Toronto have been waiting a long time for something to really cheer about.  A team that has been near the league’s basement has not made one dent in the organization’s attendance speaks loudly to the incredible loyalty of the fanbase.  Toronto fans keep Canada’s airwaves full of chatter about even the team’s most insignificant moves.  Tickets to Air Canada Center are the most expensive in the league which further proves just how deep the fanaticism runs in Canada’s largest city. "

and from Wikipedia
"Maple Leafs home games have long been one of the toughest tickets to acquire even during losing seasons.[53] Maple Leaf Gardens sold out every game from 1946 until the building closed in 1999.[39] At ACC, the Leafs sold out every game since October 2002.[54] As of 2008, there was a waiting list of about 2,500 names for season tickets...Maple Leaf fans are loyal despite poor rewards—in a 2008 survey by ESPN The Magazine, the Leafs were ranked 121st out of the 122 professional teams in the Big Four leagues."
