Don't you need to be old and rich to live there?
Used to be that way but not anymore. I went there yesterday to check it out and got a very good initial impression. Housing is cheap, they have a very open and welcoming shul that covers every spectrum from Chabad to MO. Kosher restaurants and grocery stores, close to 2 airports... I'm just beginning my research...
Btw, we went to Euro Fusion based on your review. Good eats. Thanks :)

How about Lubavitch schools? I'm a video editor so I can work just about anywhere, I need to know about schools and taxes.

Here's my problem, whenever I hear "housing is really cheap" to me that translates into "no one wants to live here"

Jewish communities are usually expensive because there are tons of Jews there already. If you find a small, fledgling community outside the nyc area, cheap housing is almost automatic.
