Yup, though the humidity is tougher for me to deal with than the snow.

Anyway if you'd like to check out Beachwood you're more than welcome to stay by me.  You're only 4,500 Avios away from being back in the middle of somewhere :D
Starting next year small businesses will get a massive state income tax cut though I'll admit 0% sure is enticing.
If a place like CA with an amazing climate had 0% I'd probably be living there.
thanks for the offer! Ca has amazing weather and great food choices but everything else is no good. One plus for Ohio, your vote actually means something...

Same with FL, maybe even more.

How so?
Show me the Republican elected president without carrying OH...

Still I think a real reason to move here would be Beachwood city services.  90% jewish, affordable housing with lower than average taxation, on-demand garbage pickup, and top-notch public and private schools=safe streets.

But if can't handle winter then don't move here, simple as that.  But the typically awesome spring and summer make up for it.

Show me a recent election decided by OH?
Regardless, your vote in both states actually counts, so that's a plus for both.

You're not really counting that as a plus are you?

How about both Bush elections?
JFK was the only guy in the past century+ to win without carrying OH.
AKA as OH goes so goes the nation.

Pro: people work less than in NY
Con: I'd like a few more kosher places to eat; rent is expensive as all get out

I am from NY, and have lived here all my life, but I don't think its the best place in the world. Especially for the above mentioned reasons.

Then you're not a real NY'er :D

Listen, I've got nothing against NY.  I love that I can get a great meal for a 9K BA flight and you need a huge mass of people to support such institutions, so by all means, stay and support them :D

i am from monsey (does that count from ny?) well, i have to agree with dov bear. what happens is, (i will talk for myself) i love the way i grew up, i love the way i turned out and i loved everything about my childhood. so in turn it would make sense for me to say 'monsey is the greatest,' but i wont. i understand that everyone is diff and that everyone has diff views on what they want in life and what they see fit to raise a family and so on. so will i say monsey is the greatest...no. i happen to think monsey is great...for me! :) and dont get me wrong, there are plenty of chisronos about living in ny! someone who says NY is the best is just a very shallow person, but so is the person who says ny is the worst place ever! be real, its ok to!

Then you're not a real NY'er :D
We have the diagnosis! ;D
Real NYer or not, only a shallow minded person (to quote Rots5) can proclaim 'NY is the best'.
There are pros and cons to every place, and enumerating them is the purpose of this thread.
The statements above, about NY, were starting to sound like a kindergarten my-Totty-is-stronger-than-your-Totty argument.
