Anyone have luck unlocking Cash & Points at hotels in Rome?

I am spending a few days in Rome after Pesach (early April) and unfortunately none of the SPG properties are offering cash and points redemptions for my dates. I would rather not pay with points as the return isnt as high, but they said there is nothing can do. Is that true? Does availability every open up? How far in advance?

I also have UR points, but there are don't appear to be any Hyatt's there. Any suggestions?

Do you have any particular suggestions? never heard of a kosher bed and breakfast in Rome.... Whats the going rate per night in such a place?

Yeah...I don't know much about the b&b in Rome. Are they nice? Any in particular which you recommend? are the Rooms big enough to also have a crib? Can they even provide a crib? We will be there with a 9 month old.

I'm always skeptical of bed and breakfast....typically prefer comfort of hotel

I highly recommend them they're not in the ghetto but they are in a Jewish neighborhood near restaurants
They have prices on there site it's something like $135 a night for a room with a private bathroom - I also got scared when I heard that there was a option to have a public bathroom but it's not like that at all it's nice and very clean , excellent service I didn't have any sort of itinerary when I came they helped me with everything they were amazing

Yeah, definitely scary to hear about rooms with public bathroom! The prices seem reasonable...how was the room size? Which one did you go with?
