how do you advertise on dansdeals?

I was just wondering how I would go about contacting Dan and advertising on his website?  I saw he has a link to his email for those that are interested in advertising and I tried emailing him.  But then he also says that private emails will probably not be answered.  So for those of you who advertised, how did you contact him to set it up?

advertising is obviously not what he meant by private
