Correct Airline, Hotel, And Car Rental Contact Numbers

Think I just got scammed - my Son had a flight from tlv - ord via ewr on the 14th - just got cancelled.  I called what I thought was united - was an old number in my phone for United - but I think it was a consolidator.  He went ahead and cancelled the old reservation and booked my son on an El Al flight and upcharged me around $350...on top of the ElAl full fare!  I got suspicious when after he sent me the elal itinerary it came from an interesting email address and he asked me to reply to confirm that I wanted them to do this.  Then he went on to explain that there would be two charges on the card and make sure not to dispute them!  I charged it to a biz plat amex. Is there anything I can/should do?  I assume that if I had gotten United they might have just rebooked me?  Thanks in advance!

Ouch. Is the El Al itinerary real? Can you find the booking on El Al's site?

Yes.  I got a full itinerary from EL AL and I can see the booking on their website...  Boruch Hashem! 

If I call United - what can they do for me?  They didn't charge me anything...they are just refunding the flight that was cancelled...  What would I even ask them to do?  From other posts it looks like they wouldn't have been willing to rebook me on ElAl anyway

Any other ideas?  The guy on the phone represented himself as being from United - can I call the whole thing fraud and dispute to amex?
