they tell me over the phone that they have blackout dates for more than 75% of the year, currently blackout through 28/10 and then from 1/12 to 10/1.

New terms since April.
I did see CZ on delta.com on blackout dates on certain routes, I did not try to book, I probably would have gotten an error at the end.

Booking it as a RT originating in USA, but you won't be able to avoid LHR departure tax though.

Start your trip in AMS or CDG to avoid the hefty APD out of the UK.

So I see tons of Delta operated flights on delta.com JFK-AMS OW for 37.5k (NK class = not the lowest/saver) however, they are bookable with AF even though the lowest is not available
