You're excited about 4MBps?

Hater.

He's excited about having anything faster than <1mbps, just as I am.

Sweet! Hope it comes to NYC soon.
That's where I call "my place".
You're excited about 4MBps?
Not overly excited as I haven't seen a HUGE difference but I also know that LTE hasn't reached it's full potential in NYC so hoping it'll get better.
In any case, I think 4MBps is pretty good for a phone, can your phone do that? :P

I didn't realize WiMax was that slow.  Don't really follow Sprint since they booted me.

Oops..I guess I'm a real rookie when it comes to tech-related stuff :P
I surely hope this has something to do with:

Then I guess it's worse, because Sprint isn't using WiMax anymore AFAIK.

That should be LTE...

Why are you so sure that the 4G OP is experiencing is NOT LTE?

The OP says he's referring to 4G LTE, so I'm not sure what your question means.

Here are three reasons I'm convinced there's currently non-LTE 4G (WiMax) still live:

1. It's still on Sprint's coverage map, with cities that don't have LTE showing WiMax.
2. Many older phones don't have LTE bands, but the users are still using 4G (WiMax)
3. FWIU some phones indicate LTE coverage separately (different network icon).

AFAIK, Sprint 4G = both LTE and WiMax... so he could be referring to either.

Also, according to the latest maps I have, it seems there is LTE in CH for sprint users...

My brother-in-law was in my apartment (11225) a few days ago and had LTE on his sprint note.
