How to visit new airports and countries?
« on: April 18, 2013, 05:24:49 PM »
I'm planning a trip to South America (BA, Iguazu, and Rio) and I plan on using United miles to get there. There are two ways that I could go ( all flights on United except where noted):

Option 1
LAX-YYZ-SCL-EZE (on AC)
AEY-IGR
IGU-GIG
GIG-IAH-LAX

Option 2
LAX-EWR-EZE
AEY-IGR
IGU-GIG
GIG-GRU-ORD-LAX

I've been to LAX, IAH, and Ord but none of the other airports.

Should I chose option 1 or 2?

How comfortable is Air Canada vs United going to South America?

I may be missing something, but why would you plan a trip based on which airports you have/haven't been too?

I like to visit new airports and countries. Since I must stop anyway (I'm going to tour, not just for airports) , I might as well see something new. More importantly is the comfort quality of AC vs UA.

Any ideas?
