In general if a phone falls in water and still turns on and works after it's best to leave it off for a while just to let it completely dry out. Good luck!!

Still worth a shot, rice for three days does wonders.

Also, consider taking the iphone apart (assuming you can put it back together).

Heard of the guy who dropped his computer? It shattered Microsoft Word.

Anyway, if you are going with a replacement, you might want to contact Apple directly about it, even if out of warranty,
They have an option in place where you can replace broken phones for a refurbished one, for around $250.

i meant to write i fried my modem. Isn't that a hardware issue? Its possible to be fried i thought.  Either way my phones in searching since. :(

It ain't worth 250 for that, ill just bring it in to Verizon. Im still within a yr (not that i paid for insurance). in addition im sure i can sell my phone in eBay.

if it's water damage they will see that inside probably, but hopefully its still switched off now, so you don't know if its searching or not.

so i had it in barley for a day + and i turned it on and nothing doing.

so i called apple and explained to them the situation. they were on the phone with me for an hr and we came out restoring the phone. i hung up from apple, and i restored my phone. of course i got an error, and i called apple back, and spent another hr on the phone...and now my phone is completely broken. it wont restore and it wont revert back to the old settings....

the apple guy said im still under warranty, but since i am in the state of israel, it might break the warranty and i have to be in america for that.

Why did you have to tell him where you currently are?

stupid move...either way he ended feeling real dumb about the way it came out, so he said that i cant get warranty replacements here, but if the phone gets to america then it will still be covered by warranty
