HHonors > UA MileagePlus bonus

Got a banner on my United.com page to transfer HHonors points to UA and I get a 15k mile bonus when transfer 50k and 5k bonus when I transfer 20k.
I had 120k HHonors points.
So I did the calculation: HHonors transfer to UA at a 10:1 ratio, so 100k would be 10k miles + 2X 15k = 40k miles.
Than I transferred the 20k points, which should be 2k + 5k bonus.
So got a total of 47k UA miles.

But now I think maybe...
1) you get the bonus only once, so I won't get it on the 2nd 50k and the 20k.
2) its not. Bonus 'on top' of the regular convert rate, so instead of 5k for a 50k convert, you now get 15k.
3) name of HHonors account holder doesn't match with UA account holder.

Any insights?

The transfer is done, but they say it takes up to 30 days to post.

1) check the t&c's but possible you'll only get once (really depends on the offer)
2) sounds like it'll be 5K +15K
3) no clue but I would guess it'll go through

hate to do this to you, but i think you majorly misread the promo...    it says you get 15k bonus miles when you transfer enough hotel points to = 50k miles     ie you gotta transfer in 500k hilton points to get the 15k bonus       100k hilton to 10k ua will only get u a 2,500 mile bonus

I would try calling hilton and see if they can undo the transfer

Doubt it United could help me with that as it clearly say in the T&C.
My best shot woud probably be trying to convince Hilton to cancel the transfer, as it didn't post to my United account yet.
Otherwise, it'll be 120k HHonors points redeemed for 14.5k UA miles. How bad.
