A friend on mine applied for the citi student forward card a couple of days ago, he just called back & they said they mailed him a form he has to fill out about taxes, what is this & what does he do about this??? (myself & a diff. friend applied & they never said a thing about a form for taxes, we said higher amounts of income than him & both got accepted)

I applied last week and when I spoke to them today they said they just need proof that I am a student and of my address but nothing about taxes.

you read my mind I was just going to ask you what happened with your application, anyways that's what I thought they would ask for, that's all they asked for from my other friend, & all they asked me was for the spelling of my school name. any Ideas anyone about what to do???

Yeah, i am also wondering! How do i avoid Financial review, and what do i do if i get one?

well, not FR, but an application called to ask about my self employed 5 digit annual income, 'suddenly' the call got choppy, and then i 'never got' (never answered) the rest of the calls. after a week they approved the application anyway.
that was the only time out of more then 10 that they even called

citi sent in the mail a form to fill out to give them permision to obtain my tax return. should my friend (who applied for the card) fill this out?? I called them up & told them that I never paid taxes bec I am a full time student & never made enough $ (& applied for the student card) & when I told them I make $8,000 a year I meant bec I just got a part time job & that's what I'm supposed to be making, they said I should fill out the form anyways & send it in.
should I listen to them? can I trust the "rather smart" lady that answered the phone? or will I get messed up from the IRS?
any sugestions what I should do???
