Voice of Israel public radio said that the rocket is believed to have struck in a southern suburb of Tel Aviv, but Home Front Defense Minister Avi Dichter said that the rocket apparently fell into the sea near Bat Yam.

This attack has had a more pro-Israel response than I can ever remember
That's the way it usually is for the first 24 hrs.
Then the pressure begins.
If they really want to do a ground operation, they may be starting too late...

I was in Tel Aviv today for a meeting, and must have left around an hour b/f the sirens began.
There were also longer security lines at the Azrieli mall and the central bus station in Yerushalayim

I am surprised no one brought up the possible of a deal between Israel and the US to hold off strikes to after the elections.
This caused Israel to speed up their gaza offensive in 2008 b/f BO took office.

True but you have to remember that in the bottom line these rockets are pretty primitive, and to aim over such large distances is extremely difficult, the best they can hope for is to aim somewhere towards the Mercaz and hope it lands somewhere meaningfull.

Their rockets are improving all the time. These are new FAJRs w/ 75km range.
And when you shoot at the mercaz, it's hard to miss s/t important since it's so stuffed there.

And can s/o explain why we're still supplying electricity and water?? They can beg for it from Egypt if they want it.
This picture says it all.

Missles on Tel Aviv is a completely different story.

Hashem yerachem.
Now this is a game changer.  No doubt now there's going to be a ground incursion.

Hopefully sooner rather than later. And maybe use the distraction to hit Iran too...
