Seriously? I know that I am going to get attacked for this, but aren't there enough Hatzolah members in Israel? Doesn't seem like many of them go to the Army

A lot less glory would be involved, but why not go to their own backyard (Seagate or Far Rockaway) and pick up a shovel...
+1
firstly, many of these Hatzolah members have been in seagate since the storm day in and day out.
+1
Secondly, why say your comment if I know ur going to get attacked... Usually means that you know your wrong...  Thirdly, first part of comment is #unreplyable

So will a ground invasion be a good thing?

Who cares? There comes a point where the rest of the world does not matter. Do you think the US would care about the rest of the world if Cuba was launching missiles at the US?

Dunno but at this point I think it's a forgone conclusion

You're right. The only problem is Israel's reliance on USA for military aid

You are selling the US short and that seems to happen a lot here.

I happen to agree with you in general, but I'm not convinced the us would stand on an island with Israel

A huge -1 Abbas is going in front of the UN general Assembly asking for full recognition in 10 days. If Israel messes up here this could give the PA the push it needs to become recognized. Also noteworthy then reason he got shot down last year was it had to go through the security council where the US has Veto power, they don't in the general assembly fwiu

It's a forgone conclusion that the PA will be granted observer status. Very little can happen now to change that

UN, that toothless mouth peace. Israel needs to crush Hamas, plain and simple.

Here's the real question. What if that means killing fifty thousand people, including twenty thousand civilians. Morally is that ok? Politically? Would that lead to an attack from some Arab powers? Western?

I'd rather not state my opinion on the internet. ;)
