I actually spent (wasted?) some time at the SA consulate today.

I spotted a historic relic on the wall there:



I also find it unique that people show up there with suitcases. Seems like people were bumped off a flight or didn't have documents and needed consular services.

I ended up being seen about an hour after my appointment time. All I needed was a UPS envelope for my stuff.

Everyone is invited to a שבת מברכים אדר farbrengen at the usual place (minyan in the room adjacent to מרכז גוטניק לקטנים ולגדולים in 770s basement) in honor of my father's yahrzeit.

In a way, this will also be marking my anticipated first ELAL flight after 25 years (according to the Gregorian calendar. Just short of 25 years according to the Jewish calendar).
