There is no chiuv for a man to wear a sheitel. See OC 163:4 and YD 241:17.
It's simply a chumra ppl have accepted upon themselves, but at the very most, it's a mehudar way of wearing a kippa.

And that's okay. Just dont state it as if it's normative halacha. It's a chumra b'alma.
Although with the percentage of us quickly balding, wearing a wig would be just the thing we need to improve our looks, so it may be assur.
I know R' Ovadia assured wigs for women, and if asked, he may be willing extend it to men.

Also had an impromptu mini-DO with AJK and chuchem on Motzei Shabbos. Apparently, nobody takes my misgivings about Luciana seriously. ;)
