Air France vs Lufthansa regarding comfort
« on: November 18, 2012, 05:24:16 PM »
I have an option of flying from NY-TLV (one way) either on Air France (business-class)  with a stop in Moscow, or on Lufthansa in First class to Dusseldorf, Germany then in biz to TLV. Second option is about $250 more. Which is a better option? Is AF biz class lay-back seats? Is it worth to pay more for Lufthansa? I hear it's quite comfortable.

Stop in MOW? Then its not AF but SU.

LH from DUS to TLV is a Y seat, middle block

How can it be a Y seat if its biz class? Sorry if I was unclear; my route is NY-DUS LH First class, then DUS-TLV biz LH,
as opposed to SU thru Moscow in biz both legs.

What he is saying is that the "biz seat" on the second leg of the flight, from DUS to TLV, is not such a great biz product it just economy class with the middle seat taken out.

All flights from Europe to TLV (except LX, BA, IB [twice weekly]) are just economy seats with the middle blocked, even if it states 'Business'

-1 Lufthansa's biz on that route, ain't an economy seat.  Not that it's a lie-flat business, but almost..

Not true. This is a new route which is operated by A32S. You mean FRA/MUC-TLV which were operated till now on a W/B

OP was talking about DUS-TLV
I wasn't commenting on the OP, I was commenting on what YOU wrote..

I think FRA is in Europe, no?
