cash advance ?

i've recently funded a chase bank account by cc and was told by a few chase rep's that it will post as a cash advance but it didnt it posted as a sale,
Is that a mistake or is it always like that ?
also i spoke to amex and they said that all cards are blocked from cash advance unless you request a pin from them . . . Question is can i also use a amex card to fund a bank account and not get charged a cash advance fee

What card did you use? Amex is not recommended, it's a serious F/R flag.

used a chase card, as a one off on amex will it raise a flag ?

Funny, because I used a Chase card and they charged me a CA fee.
