I think he means that if it can't be taken apart and it will be ruined if toiveled, then you need not toivel. I once heard of such a p'sak, though I don't remember where.
the real prblem witg his statement is the thing about heating up the appliance to the highest temp. this shows a general gap between what he understood from the rav and what the rav actually said

The teveila is only required on items owned by a Jew-purchased from a non Jew. Say you visit a non jew you may drink from his glass-ie a hotel etc.

So the non-Jew will own the item that is in your house and that you are using for the next 5 years? Doesn't pass the eye test

This "loophole" should only be used on something that absolutely cannot be submerged or properly disassembled. Even then, only under the guidance of a Rov.

Back on topic - when sending in the rebates, if you can send them all in one envelope, do you need to fill out 3 forms?

Also, they mention on the form that yo need to send in the UPC bar code, with the item number attached - on the foreman grill, they're not right next to each other, and I cut them both out before thinking they might want them still attached - even though that's like a quarter of the bottom of the box.

Thoughts?

I filled out one form and the rep that I spoke to said it's okay to just send in the upc (without the item number attached). Now lets see if I get approved...

Update: I toveled the griddle and the deep fryer Thursday night. Used the griddle with no problems late Thurs night (as was discussed earlier it's supposed to work fine after getting wet) and used the deep fryer Sunday night with no problems. As an aside, I'm not sure how you're supposed to clean the deep fryer without washing it out in the ink every time....  Why didn't they make a removeable insert?

Yup! Lol!

And once I had it running I threw in some onion rings! I love that now I can make french fries/onion rings/ fried chicken just as good as any restaurant with a lot less hassle than using a frying pan. Don't have to sit there watching it and turning it etc...

Not soo much. It's pretty small and you only fill it like half of the way. The food raises the level higher and you do a few batches with a small amount in each.

I'm probably gonna get blasted for saying this but from my immense research (google) I've determined that it's okay to filter the used oil through a coffee filter, store and reuse. I poured it out and it just filled a 1 pound take out container.

I was advised only to buy falafel in Israel after pesach . Since that's the one time they change their oil :)

Does anyone know if the rebate will work printing out the email confirmation or something of that sort? I seem to have lost my packing slip, and the duplicate Kohl's said they'll mail me still hasn't arrived.

The $10 rebate submission form says that you need "the original or copy fo the cash register or online reciept." Is the packing slip fine?

And can I submit two forms in one envelope?

Great, thanks. If the actual copy doesn't arrive today I'll just send it with the printout.
