I bought the Canon VIXIA HF R400 a few months ago because it was very highly rated and easy to use. It seems like its not so available online. Im happy with this one, and they are known to be one of the better brands. The similar models are probably very similar.

I remember it being around 250-300, but there was more availability when I looked- which means its probably the next model to be discontinued.
