Missed Flight, Charged to Get On the Next One

i booked the elal glitch tickets and have a stopover in paris (i wana stay there for my free night in the hyatt) if i skip that flight will they charge me to get on a flight the next day?

Hi just reviving an old thread, couldn’t find anything else

A family member of mine was booked on a one way ticket with 5 children from Europe to us.
They arrived early to the airport, checked in, and then waited a long time to pass security (one child was taken aside as well for a few min) after they were finally through security it was very late already and they were basically told that they missed the flight,
They never called out there names, and after the flight left there wasn’t anyone to speak to, I called in and waited over an hour for the rep to tell me that it was a no show and tuff luck. She declined to rebook or refund declined to get a supervisor, and then just cut the line on me

I would like to dispute, do I have any merit?

It was leaving ZRH-DUS DUS-JFK
When they arrived to the gate there was that guy packing up his backpack and he just told them sorry boarding closed already and he left

The airline was eurowings (by Lufthansa which they then didn’t know)
And the airline didn’t have any rep left in the airport

I won the dispute BH, reason is because they never responded to it.😁
