Is there anyway to get LX J from FRA?

If I book a F ticket on UA can I later downgrade one segment and get the diference in miles back?

oops...Just realized i'm booked on UA F and not LH F,. "Changing the cabin, award type, or changing a flight to a different airline, regardless of departure date = $75."
 What should I do? Should I cancel the whole ticket and hope for availability later on on LH F?
The flight in question is from EWR on June 17th to FRA.

+1, depends on how badly you need the flight. If so, just keep it as if and pay the change fee when LH opens.

Cancelling the award outside 24 hours will costs you at more than that anyway.

I thought LH usually opens up around 2 weeks before or something?

The ticket is still within 24 hrs.

 :( I noticed it's UA F both ways, it just connects with LH to TLV.
