I have a few twillory shirts (but haven't bought any in at least 7-8 years) I find Tyrwhitt to be higher quality - better feeling fabrics, and definitely better feeling

Which ones? The twill or performance?

The performance are light years better than CT IMO

I have a some CT shirts 4 years old, and can barely tell it different from a new one.

I believe that these are the twill. I bought them a while ago, maybe 7-8 years. They fit well out of the box, but the sleeves shrank about 1 inch on about 3-4 of the 8 that I have. The second button (i.e. the top one below the collar) was too low - so they tend to open too much if I unbutton the collar, and the fabric is pretty thin.

Do be fair, before COVID I used to wear button downs every day, so a shirt in my rotation would be worn once every 3 weeks or so. Now I don't, so button downs are primarily Shabbos only. Wear isn't a problem for most of my CT/Twillory shirts.

Cannot compare shirts from 8 years ago to shirts manufactured within the last 2 years. For those who recently have bought white Twillory shirts - are they exceptional shirts - in terms of thickness, non iron, and durability?

Never received the $20 from the Amex offer, I used PayPal checkout. Amex gave me a courtesy credit but otherwise wouldn't credit it. Just a heads up.

Yup. There's discussion about using paypal in general to trigger chase or Amex offers.
