Thread title:Conundrum: A riddle whose answer involves an unexpected twist, or an intricate and difficult problem.
In other words:
Whereas, on the other hand:Challah - as stated in Shulchan Oruch - 272:9 / Shulchan Oruch Harav - 272:11.Start Shemona Esrey again - very implicit from Shulchan Oruch - 119:3 / explicit in Shulchan Oruch Harav - 114:8.
The shulchan aruch harav does not discuss where you didn't finish the beracha and are able to say it now the right way.
Obviously the shayla was if you totally skip one of the "gimel rishonos" if its considered a "to'us" which you need to restart for. See mishna berura 114-34 who says that only in the chasima do you have to start over since its all one beracha.
In any event there is much discussion about this. I cannot look everything up but see piskey tshuvos 119-4 footnote 30-31-32.
He concludes from the Maharsham, Rav Elyashiv and Rav S Z Auerbach, not to restart. He may actually be discussing an even bigger shayla where you actually finished the next beracha.

Was he talking when the person is learning that he should keep on learning or said it even when not learning?

I guess the higher the Emunah/Bitachon one has the less hishtadlus is needed

What was the story? Something about a couch?

In a small town in Poland right before Pessach starts with no Lettuce, horseradish, onion, or parsley in the market. What to use for Maror?

Am I suppose to say what the answer is?

Nu, what's the answer?
But first I want to see if the litvaks can figure out what else I can use :) I called many rabonim no one knew including the OU database, The rav who finally told me an answer knew it and the makor off the top off his head. Rabbi Feitman gave me the answer, he allowed over 70 people to have maror for pessach. I was going to use Cabbage which apparently would have been a bracha levatala...

here goes.

A friend asked me to find him a good deal on a laptop, obviously i turned to namechanged's thread and found precisely what he wanted. I then got him a $50 off code from namechanged as well the total came out to $600.
He asked me if i could put it on my credit card and ship it to him, i did this.

I got a call from Amex fraud department asking if the purchase was legit, i said it was and they told me to order it again because it had been canceled. I complained that i had lost the $50 code and they gave me a $50 credit.
I ordered again with a 2nd $50 code courtesy of namechanged.

2 computers arived at his home and i was billed twice(1200). I told him to call Dell and return one computer and that i would call Amex.

I called Amex and told them what happened they said return it to dell and we will contact them and tell them you are denying the charge.

My friend called Dell who offered him a $150 coupon to keep both computers, he agreed.

At this point i told my friend that i would like him to pay me $600 and give me the 2nd computer (which would cost me only$450)
He said, the computers are mine even though you paid for them and ordered them and i haven't paid you yet because i made a Kinyan on them. I said lets discuss it with a rov, he said sorry i already sold the 2nd computer.

Fast forward 2 months i get a letter from Amex saying that since Dell didn't respond in the allotted time they have removed the $600 charge.

1) who owned the computers?
2) if they were mine what is the halacha in regard to the profit he made (assuming it can't be retrieved)
3)if the computers were his is there any reason i should give him the $50 statement credit i got for the supposed lost order?
4)if i keep the $600 is that Genaivas Akum or Taus Akum?
5)If it is Taus Akum who gets the money?

Have fun!!!

Pretty ambiguous question.
