in a war between israel and america. most of us would have to choose sides. especially the americans living in Israel.

Maybe an easier way to say it is that as a country I'm a patriotic American first. But my heart is with the Israeli people. Kinda like when your favorite team off playing your favorite(fantasy) player, you want your team to win but your player to have a good game

The problem with your favorite team analogy is you are a player on that team. If you are a US citizen I would except you are playing for the US and you have no right to cheer for a player on the other side.

When people hear that I am a dual citizen of USA and Australia, they say, "that's convenient", or something non-committal like that.
Then they realize I am Jewish, and all of a sudden they've got questions, "So, who are you more loyal to, Israel or the United States".

So instead he questions my allegiance to the U.S. in order to change topics. How does defending the only true democrocy in the middle east make my allegiance to the U.S questionable?
Tell me HelpMe, Do you also question arnold schwarzeneggar, Zbigniew Brzezinski's, allegeiance or for that matter any dual u.s. citzen's? or only mine because i'm jewish, and although saying nothing negative about the U.S (in fact positive), i'm defending Israel.

Israel's survival is at stake here, surrounded by enemy's, having thousands of rocket's bombard their towns for 12 years already, But for some reason you feel that they don't have a right to retalliate like the U.S. And when I defend them you imply I am "somehow" not a loyal citizen. If the country that was being attacked was Engalnd or France etc; I'd defend them just as much.

Even though President Bush clearly writes that the reason he attacked Iraq  after september 11 was to protect the U.S. homeland. You somehow feel that the president had some other motive. Enlighten me to what that is please?
and btw the Iraq war got bi-partisan support.

Yes, but the bigger question here is, how the heck did this question start. All I was doing was pointing out the hypocricy that isarel has no right to self defence while the rest of the world does, and suddenly HelpMe questions the jews allegiance.

It is actually not a valid question, because despite whatever citizenship a Jew holds, his safety is linked with Israel’s safety. Whenever there is drama in the middle east, synagogues and Jewish places of gatherings around the world are targeted. From time to time we hear about the more dramatic attacks around the world, but then you also have the much more frequent verbal and egg-throwing variety of attack.
And we all know where we would be without Israel.
We (Jews of all citizenships) get attacked when Israel is attacked, and when we want Israel to be strong, everyone starts kvetching about our loyalties.
So I stick with my opinion, that this question is like asking someone to choose loyalties between his parents, the two people who are the very fabric and fiber of his life.

I was born and raised (and i am a naturally born citzen according to the constitution) in the U.S and do not hold israeli citizenship?

I'll spell it out for you, Every reliable intelligence agency in the world believed Iraq had wmd's. therefore Our couragrous and patriotic president did the right thing and attacked the madman for the fear of it falling into terorists hands, in order to protect the homeland after the events of september 11.
