Missed AA Award flight, what can I do?

I'm just going to throw this out there if anyone has any ideas.

I booked 2 one-way award flights from JFK to CDG last Jan to fly in April, then decided to not use them so pushed them off till OCT hoping for a schedule change.
I forgot it was in Oct thought it was in Dec, anything I can try doing now?

did u try calling them see whats your options

Awards are refundable even if no-showed. You'll just have to pay the regular change/refund fees if applicable

Thanks I just got off the phone with them, she just rebooked me for dec 14 no problem.

just a little follow up to my OP.
after I was rebooked for Dec 13 I saw that the agent only rebooked one passenger. so I called in last night and the rep said there was no more room on the flight so she would have to move us to Jan 13 I asked her to reinstate the miles to the account without penelty since it was their error, she transfered me to a suppervisior, supper says its partially my fualt for not checking my email for errors so he would charge me $75 insead of $150. I tried to explain my case nicely to him how its AA fualt, he again put the blame on me. at that point I blew up on him saying that I've been planning for this trip for a while and the rep messes up my trip my work schedule I even have to cancel my cab to the airport, I'm being nice and not asking you to put me on the flight. and you want to charge me the fee. at that point he was mad and said 'Ok I'm not going to charge you any fee but I will put  note on your account that you should never get any fees waived of this kind.

What do you think of this note on the account?

ive been told that a few years back- the account will be noted. just hard talk - never had an issue

Unless their CRM/system allows for an alert/flag that pops up when trying to waive a fee, a simple note in the history will keep getting bumped down by other notes. They don't check all your notes in all of history every time you call.
