I never realised that although you only keep one day in Israel, once you are in the US, you need to keep the 2nd day. Im not sure this comment belongs here, and I don't mean anything personal, but if you could please explain halachagly how you could fly on Thursday? You aren't Israeli, so technically you would need to keep 2 days in the US, but since you almost never missed a Yom Tov in Israel, I believe your LOR lets you keep one day in Israel. But that's all in Israel, but how can you enter American Airspace and land in the US and then carry muktza on Yom Tov? Did you clearly ask your LOR if you may do so. After all you aren't an Israeli.
Once again I mean nothing personal at all, I'm just asking to learn.
Its very simple really, say you are in China and run afoul of the law you somehow get to the US Embassy.theres nothing the Chinese can do since its US Territory.
thusly no problem going to TLV nor flying, once you arrive at the Airport over here you arent in say NJ but in a Country called EWR and can even continue flying to another State or simply hang at the Term and buy what you please and use your phone (like you really will have anyone to call on YT). so as long as you remain in the term or even an airport Hotel you can do as you please. If a person leaves that domain then what U said would be the case and they wouldnt be able to do any Molacha, according to some others allow it.
BTW if you fly into a place where they are no Jews living theres no problem going into the city and doing as you please. everything is due to Morris and Morris only
MY LOR lets me fly back on the 2nd day and do everything I posted above, w/o a 2nd thought. So did my R"H back in Israel I dont do anything that I didnt ask about beforehand
There were plenty of Frum people on my flight and Americans at that, the family that was sitting in the rows ahead of me have an apt over there although they live over here.
Let me state this, no one should take what I posted as giving them permission to hold 1 day and fly on the 2nd day YT. As I have posted before each person MUST discuss their own situation with their LOR and believe me there are alot of different opinions as to what you can and cant do, and where you can do it
personally I speak to a Yeshivaish Rav both here and in Israel. and I do it almost every YT since the circumstances are always different as to what I can and cant do once over here.
1 time I flew in and not into NY so I had 2 more connecting flights, was told no problem whatsoever
again keep in mind most everything is due to Morris. and if I had left last night instead of this morning then I would have had to put on tefillin over here! depending on what Iw as up to if I was gonna be flying around and not be at a Hoetl then I would ahve to put them on at an airport somewhere. If I was gonna be checking into a Hotel due to the earliness of my arrival then I could do it in the room
this isnt something that should be taken lightly
